     Get out your paintbrushes, The Daybreak Artwalk event is up soon, the event is on March 26th and 27th and there is currently an open call for Artists to participate in this year’s event.      Over the past six months there have been at least five or six accidents in which children have been hit by cars either walking to school or home from school in Utah. I have been working with the local schools and parents over the past few years in trying to make the school zones and walking routes that the children of our community use to get to and home from school safer. The responsibility of ensuring the safety of streets and the safety of the crosswalks etc falls is that of the City of South Jordan (not to take away from the fact that the safety of the children also falls on the shoulders of the parents as well, however the parents do not have control over safety features that could be put in place for added safety of the children).

     In the past few years there has been some safety improvements made that I have been pushing for with the help of local leaders. One of those improvements was getting additional crossing guards at all three of our local Elementary Schools. One of the hurdles to get these crossing guards is the same hurdle that is still putting the children of our community at risk, which is the City of South Jordan’s concern of impeding the flow of traffic.

     I received an email the other day from a Chiropractor who is interested in moving his office to Daybreak. There is not a chiropractor located specifically in Daybreak; however there are several Chiropractor’s in the surrounding area. Would it be appealing to have one inside Daybreak?

     The Chiropractor who is looking into this has a family/sports practice in Provo, and is the official chiropractor of the Utah Flash basketball team and UVU men's hockey. The office could provide not only chiropractic care, but massage and physical therapy as well. Do you think such a practice would be an asset to the community?

   So it’s been a few months since SoDa RoW in Daybreak has opened and here are my thoughts/reviews…

Oppsie Daisy ~ Cute store, really great items, a little too expensive…

.

San Gelato Café ~ Nice décor, good atmosphere, I have only had a few mochas here and have not had a chance to try or review the food; hopefully I will have the chance to do so soon. The feedback I have gotten is that the prices are a little too high, but that the food is good.

.

Tio’s Mexican Restaurant ~ This is a tough one, I have been there twice, once it was great (had the fajitas) the next time it has horrible (had the taquitos), both times the service was bad, I hope they get it together…

Guys Barber Shop ~ I have not been there yet, if anyone has please comment…

Classic Cleaners ~ I have not been there yet, if anyone has please comment…

Black Diamond Gymnastics ~ I have not been there yet, if anyone has please comment…
