Okay I have been a little busy lately and have missed a few meetings and am now have more free time to put in to the Daybreak Homeowners Community site. I wanted to outline the major events and happenings coming to Daybreak in 2009…

The Daybreak Dog Park is opening in the Spring of 2009

The Oquirrh Lake Radio Club opening and is up and running (I don’t have the website for the club)

The Daybreak Triathlon is on Sept 19^th, for details go to the website at: www.ustrisports.com/daybreak.htm

Early Light Academy is opening in the Fall of 2009; this is the first charter school opening in Daybreak. Please visit their website for information www.earlylightacademy.org

The Daybreak CERT program was started by Brett Neilson (Daybreak Resident) for information please visit the website:  www.daybreakcert.com

The Daybreak Art Walk – This event is on March 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, please visit the website for more information www.daybreakwalk.com

The Daybreak Summer Celebration – This event is on June 20^th at Rowdy Park in Eastlake Village The Daybreak Campout – This event is on August 14^th & 15^th (I believe this being held at Daybreak Elementary and at Rowdy Park in Eastlake Village). Unless something has changed, which it easily could have the plans were to have two locations to handle the entire community, however due to the low turnout and poor planning at last year’s campout the event might just be at Rowdy Park in Eastlake Village.

The Daybreak Village Center is opening in July of 2009

The Oquirrh Mountain Temple is opening. The open house will take place weekdays from June 1st through Aug 1^st, except for the July 4^th and July 24^th holidays. The temple will be dedicated Aug 14^th-16^th, with 12 dedicatory sessions scheduled.

And there is much more happening as well, I just wasn’t able to list everything, but it is going to be a busy year in Daybreak, I know I am excited…
