This is an interesting response to an inquiry made about the sorry condition of Hillside Park (the waterfall park). Apparently the City owns it now:

We are aware of the current condition of Hillside Park and Kennecott Land is trying to work with the City of South Jordan to improve its maintenance of that park. We are hoping that their efforts will show some success soon and its maintenance meets the same standard we try to up hold for the HOA parks. this comment is NOT true, I am actually working with the C of SJ on this. I had a meeting with the C of SJ last week about this and have another meeting wit the C of SJ about this tomorrow.

KL and the HOA office are NOT involved or engaged on Hillside Park with the C of SJ in any way....

I will be doing a story on this tonight/tomorrow to let everything know what is happening....

So the same old crap keeps spewing from the new CCMC employees. Some things never change.

Scoop, it looks to me like neither KL nor CoSJ want to claim responsibility for it. Yet again it makes us feel like the red-headed stepchildren of Founders Village.

Speaking of parks not being taken care of and nobody claiming responsibility... Scoop, could you find out what the heck is going on by the new elementry school? There are 2 strips on either side right by Liberty Homes models that have 3-4' tall weeds growing. It looks terrible but from what I hear, KL won't take care of it claiming the school district owns it, while the school district is claiming that they don't own it so they don't have any responsibility for it. It makes our neighborhood look trashy (especially since the weeds are collecting the trash and a pile of bark has been sitting there for over a year).

Founders residents are still trying to get the weed field owned by Daybreak Elementary taken care of. Weeds cover the entire drainage area and the corner of Kestrel Rise and Pale Moon and are watered on the same schedule as the school lawn. So far the best we have gotten is, the weeds are mowed 3 times a year.
