Speaking of lack of design submissions. Anyone know what happened with the concrete curbing issue? I know of at least one house that was removing it but that was in the midst of the battle against the HOA so I doubt they were the ones fighting!

Yard of the Month recpients haven't followed the published approved plant list. Which leads me to believe the approved list is a very loosely proposed and flexible guideline.

I hope it's a loose guide, because Hydrangeas aren't on there, and I love Hydrangeas!

It does not say in the landscaping requirements that plants have to come from the list. The plant/ tree list is simply a guide to what types of plants grow best in this area and would probably work well in our neighborhood given the soil, water etc. I found the list quite helpful when planning our landscaping, especially since we were new to Utah in general.

At one point all plants did have to come off of the list. I thought they had eliminated that though when they eliminated the need for design approval on them. You never really know when it comes to our hoa!
