So, I finally got signed up for the new Daybreakliving.net and logged in for the first time. And might I say, I am underwhelmed. This is what took 2 months to build? I guess my understanding of websites is pretty limited, but I hate it. It is very generic looking, and unless I just can't find the option,(not finding it as user friendly as it was advertised to be) no forums which was what I liked best about the old site. Thank goodness for Joe! At least we still have Daybreakdaily!

This software wasn't built specifically for us, it is a canned program where each HOA can put in their personal information. I have no idea why it would take months to get it running. The software does have forum capabilities http://www.daybreakliving.net/Discussion/DiscussionList.asp they just need to be activated by the admin user.

I was looking forward to the new site. When I logged on I searched and searched for the forum. I thought I was missing something until I read this blog. No forum, I can't believe it. Was anyone aware that there would not be a forum?? Do we have a say in this?

I don't think we have a say...that's why there is no forum. We do, however get to pay for it.

I still can't get into the new website. I think it is because I am renting my house, so my name isn't registered with the HOA. From what I have heard, though, I'm not missing much.

I find the new website mostly useless without a forum. I want to know how my neighbors feel about issues within Daybreak. What a waste!

From the new daybreakliving website:

Announcing Our New Website!
Summary: We've put our association online to provide you with more convenience and a wealth of online services and opportunities to share ideas and information; get news and announcements; access an online resource center for important association documents and forms; join discussion forums; utilize the member directory; and much more.

They should read this stuff before they go live.
