Campaign 14 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 11
I, for one, would like to thank Joe for running a spirited and honest campaign against the "Business-as-usual" boys in S. Jordan. I haven't seen the final figures but for a first campaign, I think they're pretty good.

Daybreak and Sunstone had an initial opportunity to show S. Jordan that we are a force in the community and that they should look our way more often. I haven't seen or heard from the incumbent in the 4 years we've live here. I hope we haven't squandered the chance.

Good job, kid.

It's too bad so few people even bothered to vote. It must have taken five minutes out of my day!

thanks for the note... It is amazing how few people showed up to vote, the clerks office told me that only 10% of registered voters from Daybreak and Sunstone voted and about only 30% of registered voters from Glenmoor voted.

Everyone who didn't take 5 min to vote should think about it when they pay their higher property taxes this year and remember that the current city officials chose not to join Herriman and other cities in an effort to lobby state legislators on promoting the equalization of the school board funding. Not that anyone knows that the effort would have been successful, but it just is one of many examples on how the current city officials choose not to do their job or fight for whats right for the residents of the City of SJ.

Only 10% percent...that is just sad! No wonder my wife and I were able to just walk in and vote!

If you can't be bothered to go out and vote, you can always vote by mail. It is convenient and easy....there is no excuse not to vote.

I voted, even though my ballot only had one question on it: mayor. I must say I really hate these off-year elections and feel they are a huge waste of taxpayer money. Not to mention a pain in the butt to have to go and vote on ONE issue. Elections should be held every two years at most, four years would be better. We gripe about low voter turnout but it is very hard to ask people to get jazzed about an election with 1 or 2 issues.
