Just a small question here... who will still be willing to go for a dip in the lake when it's SNOWING IN SEPTEMBER? I've heard it can happen... enjoy your hypothermia. I'll be the one cheering in the parka! =)

The greatest risk in life is never taking any.

September is typically the most beautiful month of the year in SLC. It's unfortunate you will not be able to come out and play.

I lack the lungs for a tri. although I have wanted to do one. Are there any training groups for beginners around here? Running groups for all levels? I would love to run with a group... but i'm not about to show up to the spandex club for a quick "10 mile-r" when I can probably do 3... (i might be pushing the probably).

September is one of the most beautiful months but it has been known to snow so I'm curious to see how it all works out since its hit and miss throughout the month.
Jess - there are several groups around but I'm sure you could probably gather a group in the nieghborhood (if one doesn't already exist!). After all, what better place to have a group of runners??

A friend of mine bikes almost daily and has tried to start a road biking group throught the daybreakliving.net but we all know how useful that is (not), I know of a couple other riders in Daybreak just from seeing out on the road.

When the weather improves, we should start a riding group.

As far as running groups go, my wife and a friend run every M, W, F at 6am and there are others out there as well. Feel free to come join them, just let me know and I'll hook you up.

Hmmm, maybe I'll start a triathlon training group for those interested in trying the Daybreak Tri out...

Let me know if anyone is interested!

JessC, you can do it!

My husband and I have yet to invest in road bikes our mountain bikes would not keep up... nor would the peddlers. the running invitation sounds great, however... i am a fair weather runner. I will have to get together when spring comes! I think the triathlon training group would be a GREAT idea. especially if someone with experience could gear a training route for the different members who might have different strengths/weaknesses. My husband and I would join!
