My wife and I have been looking for homes in the south jordan area and decided to look at daybreak homes. I thought I would look at this web site to see what the rules, restrictions and other home owners think. Honestly, I have never seen a community with so many rules not to mention upset homeowners. I guess we won't be buying in daybreak.

Don't let the haters get you down. The complainers on this site are a TINY portion of the residents. The rest of us love it here and enjoy driving past beautiful yards and unique homes every day.
This forum almost scared me away from moving here and I'm SO glad that I disregarded them. I love it here.

We purchased our home in Daybreak in 2007. Overall, I think it's been a good decision. There have been some challenges and issues along the way, but nothing unexpected for a new community being built by a company that is new to this type of development. I like to think in terms of tradeoffs and knowing what's really important to you and what isn't. For me, I have found most people here to be friendly. I love the design of my house and the look of the neighborhood. I love the walking trails and the lake. I'm less keen on the mandatory Internet and the inconsistent application of the community's covenants. I would strongly recommend that you not base your decision on anything that's written on this nearly defunct website. Go out and talk to some Daybreak residents, especially those who have put their money where their mouths are and made a long-term commitment to Daybreak and purchased a home here. I know that this will get me labeled a "hater" by our resident apologist extraordinaire, but I would recommend asking some residents about what's good and not-so-good in their experience. Like most things in life, you'll probably find a mixed bag with some high points and some not-so-high points. From there, you can make a realistic, informed decision about whether it's a mix that suits your needs.

We have been in Daybreak going on five (5) years (my how time flies) and we love it. There have been challenges as there will be anywhere one moves but we absolutely love it! Because of our working hours we have not had much chance to meet most of our neighbors but those we have met we dearly love. Go to the neighborhood you like and walk around - ask those that live there how they like it!
