And therein lies the rub. Over 5 years in existance and our HOA has not managed to establish a reserve fund. They have spent a great deal of money and time studying the issue but haven't managed to pull it all together. Daybreak can't even change it's collective mind without dipping into the homeowners pocket to subsidize the event.

We had an increase of over $200,000 in this year's budget. For what? Part of the blame has to rest with KL for developing new parks (actually, playgrounds, not parks) and turning them over to the HOA (us!) There was one good answer at the meeting: when we were told that the Utah legislature was considering legislation which would prohibit the use of funds which were gleaned from sales of homes to fund community events and the question was asked who would fund these poorly-attended, exclusively-targeted activities, Ty McCutcheon replied, "Ah, I don't know." Guess who......
