Hi All: Just curious as to who enforces the parking regulations in the alley way. I thought it was the HOA, but when I called them regarding some issues we are having with people parking in the alleyway making it almost impossible for us to get out of our driveway, we were told by the HOA that it was a City of South Jordan issue. Does the HOA enforce anything?

All alley ways in Daybreak belong to the city so any issues you are having with the alley would be a city issue.

If you have a problem with a neighbors landscaping or lack of it, or if you see satellites in the front of the house, or x-mas decorations still up then you have reasons for the HOA to do something. But first make sure you take pictures so you have documentaion when speaking to the HOA.

The HOA is responsible for enforcing alleyway parking as it is a violation of the HOA rules. See "Daybreak Community Association: Deed Violation Enforcement Policy Resolution Section 2. Violation Process Types 2. iv." and Exhibit "D" Initial Rules 2. (a). If you can't get the HOA to enforce their own rules, contact Rulon.Dutson@kennecott.com. There's a couple of exceptions: 1. contractors when delivering a service (like an insulation truck or carpet cleaner, etc.) during normal business hours but only when loading or unloading, 2. during a period of time when you're working on your property, etc. Don't know who it was you spoke to but another contact should be made.
