Yes, I know about it...here's the deal:
KL asked a couple of homeowners that were KL employees if they would be willing to try a new method of lawn irrigation, and if it didn't work out, they would replace the existing lawn and standard style irrigation system. The new method involved a series of drip-like hoses buried under the grass that had many little tubes sticking up just at grass level. The theory was that this would reduce the amount of water needed by some large % (that I don't know)...Well, after 2 years, the lawn look so "mottled" and crappy... lots of random areas that were just browned out and dead, that the homeowner finally gave up on the system and asked KL to put it back...KL is now making good on their promise to restore the lawn to the original condition.
This same method is used up by the popular park in Northshore....the one with the crowded beach. If you looked carefully at the grass on the North part of the park, you'll see these little hoses sticking up...they hurt when you walk on them.
