While helping out a neighbor for half an hour, someone came into my garage and stole my new laptop. The blame for the act lies squarely on the shoulders of the perpetrator. It seems that the careless act of not ensuring that my garage door closed created an opportunity too delicious for a felonious mind and larcenous heart to pass up.

Since there were sensitive files, identity theft is a real possibility and, if a 17" HP Pavilion notebook turns up and you become aware of it,
I'll pay $100 to get it back. It is dark graphite with subtle gray circular graphics on the top. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

If anyone finds out that someone in the neighborhood has a "new to them" laptop and that they got a killer deal or traded for it, it may be stolen. Mine's a HP Pavilion. It isn't the loss of the laptop it's the violation and the mountain of information on other people which could result in Identity Theft that concerns me. See the reward post for more information.
