Your Daybreak HOA has the DCC scheduled to be open on these days, which in my opinion is a waste of Daybreak Homeowner money...
Thanksgiving Day
December 24th
What are your thoughts?

Are those full work days or modified work schedules?
I don't see that as a huge deal $$ wise. I have had a need to go in and address an issue on the eve of a holiday before; it has been nice to have someone available to speak with. I would feel bad for the employees though - no one wants to work on holidays.

they are somewhat modified, I guess my issue is the HOA cries broke when they are getting 28% margins on everything and we as homeowners are having budget issues...why not let the employees have the day off close the dcc and save a few hundred each day...a win win

There is no guarantee that the employees wouldn't be paid anyway via a holiday wether it is open or not. I mean, it is a couple of hundred bucks for the staff that are there, and I have worked out at the DCC on holidays before. I think that there are bigger fish to fry where CCMC is concerned and the core group of people who use the facility probably asked for it to be open...

Could we save money by charging all the OUTSIDERS in here using our Lake??
I live in Daybreak, and I am a little concerned. As a Realtor and a Mortgage professional I saw the benefits of buying in Daybreak. Since the "beach" has gone in, the lake has become full of outside Daybreak residents. Why would people live in Daybreak when they can come in and enjoy our amenities we pay for? We pay a 1% fee when we close on our home for Daybreak and $80.00 per month so far. I have also had a scary incident with my children at the lake with a stranger following them home in his car. The man was just sitting at the lake in his car.
If people are allowed to just come into to daybreak and use our amenities, this will force the sales of our home down. We pay a lot of money to buy in here, and to live here. Why should anyone have our amenities? Just live outside of Daybreak and come on in. We pay for an HOA and a community, we should have a gated community or something to protect our investment. Let them look in from the outside and wish they were in. This will drive the home prices up.
Thanks,
Heather Anderson

As far as I understand. The lake is still owned by Kennecott Land and will never be "Owned" by the HOA. Therefore, it is not "Our" lake.
