According to LDS Church officials at the community meeting they held about a month ago, the City of South Jordan played their “trump card” and told the LDS Church and everyone else involved what routes would be used to handle traffic (The Church officials didn't believe the City picked the best routes). In fact the city also told everyone how emergency & safety concerns are to be handled. Therefore, if you have a complaint about the traffic routes contact the City of South Jordan. However, with Open House tours starting on June 1st I doubt anything will be changed.

Seems the story depends on who's telling it. The city says one thing, and the rest of the folks involved have their own version.

Ignoring all the finger pointing, it's still a bad plan and anyone involved should try to support the residents impacted.

Is anyone experiencing a lot of traffic from the temple open house? My house is supposedly on the exit route for both parking lots in Daybreak and I figured it would be bumper to bumper cars the whole summer...but we haven't seen any noticeable traffic increase. I've spoken to people who live directly next to the north parking lot and while they've seen a lot of people, they were surprised and impressed at how organized it all is. Is anyone experiencing obnoxiously high traffic?

The folks on the corner of Open Crest and Topview have noticed a change. Enough to attend the BOD meeting to express their views.

The City of SoJo was very busy on that corner this morning stopping speeders and folks blowing stop signs. Glad they are there.
