If you look at the Qwest DSL offering, they have 12Mbps for $35. IMHO, we should be on the same speed or better since we are paying the same fee. I swear we were on 10Mbps when I tested it awhile back. They quietly dropped down to 8Mbps.

Century Link just purchased Qwest. Every time I try to talk to Qwest customer service I hang up and shake my head wondering how their support could be worse.

Now we know.

I've actually been very pleased with the speed of my internet service. I've had both Qwest and Comcast in the past, and so far since I've moved to Daybreak, it seems the internet is much faster than I've experienced in the past. I never experience any delays. *knock on wood*!

Indeed, our Qwest internet access has fantastic latency. The speed (i.e., megabits-per-second) is not that great, but the latency is 3 times better than my Comcast Business Internet access. It makes a big difference.

I'm glad that others have had better experiences with Qwest than me. The fact that some have great service and others have none reinforces my belief that each homeowner should be able to select the service provider that best meets their individual needs. Right now, there is no incentive whatsoever for Qwest to address the long-standing service issues *some* of us have experienced. They get paid regardless. More, rather than less, competition would benefit everyone.

I haven't had a problem with Qwest either but that's not saying I wouldn't look at other providers if given the choice. However, my problem isn't so much about residents choosing.. its more the fact that the entire neighborhood recieves the same service. Nothing like paying for all those empty homes and people not paying their HOA fees to recieve qwest service on everyone elses dime!
