I agree, you can't beat a burger for $1.20... the prices at FG was a bit much IMO. Granted it was a decent burger just not for me! Dissappointed to hear Cheddars is on the pricier side as well.

In n' Out released a statement back when the St. George location opened that that was about the extent of their limitations. They have a preferred supplier for their meat and they won't give on it. I wish I could find the exact article but it all comes down to how fast they could get the meat here. Anyways, I think its more of a business decision then their product anyhow.. how many companies have gone to ruins when they expanded too quickly? They have a good handle on their market and every store that opens does very well. Either way, I don't think we'll see them here anytime soon (and yes, I do hope I'm proven wrong!).

I've been emailing and leaving suggestions on their website for years. I know others have done the same. Nada.

From Jennifer's comment, sounds like it's not going to happen. Cheddars will thrive under that condition. Both Cheddars and Five Guys are packed to the brim during lunch time.

SLC would be a great market for In&Out. Oh well.

Forget SLC, I want a In N Out here at the District!
They did say it is a possibility, but since they have fresh EVERYTHING, never frozen.. it makes it hard to transport the food and keep it fresh. They wont use a local Utah distributer, everything must come from the same place,so it all tastes the same. Irritating, BUT understandable.
There was a place down in provo called Lucky Buns, their slogan was "if you like IN N OUT you will love lucky buns". Well... it didnt fly, and they closed down a couple years later.
Any other cali people love Tommy's?

I have been in Utah for 5 months now, and every trip out I have to make a run to In N Out. A burger that just may be better, though much pricier, can be found at The Counter in the Gateway. These are the best burgers I have ever had, with sweet potato fries and onion strings, this is one of my favorite places. You custom build the burger with everything from roasted corn salsa to fried eggs. If you haven't been, you need to go!

OH I agree the "counter" is good. But when you are from California... you just want and need a IN N OUT burger. But the Counter is really good, and yes really pricey.
