Ok, all the CA, AZ, and NV folks that miss In & Our burgers, visit 5 Guys Burgers on 104th South and State. YUM!

Oh, I am a bit disappointed. I thought this was going to be a Village Center post.

I have heard about 5 Guys. Aren't they the ones who were getting sued by In&Out because they were TOO similar?

You're think of Cheddars, who was used by In and Out but the suit was tossed out by the judge (according to the news). Cheddars is located in American Fork and in West Valley (5600 W, 3100 S).

There are 3 location for 5 Guys and they're NOT the same as In & Out. They have much more stuff (add-ons) for the burgers. A regular is double, whereas a mini is a single. They provide roasted peanuts for you to munch on before your order arrived. Fries is good too, similar to Cheddars or In and Out since they use peanut oil.

I was excited about five guys but I don't think they're comparable to In&Out. It's definitely a personal preference but I think they taste very different. The biggest difference is the toppings but I honestly could care less that FG offers so many since I don't really care for most of them anyhow. I do have to say, the fries at five guys are much tastier and was probably my favorite part of the meal! I do wish we weren't located so far from CA so that In&Out would open up here (their policy is that they will only open in location that they can deliver fresh ingrediants within the same day which puts SL out of luck). Oh well... I'll have to try out Cheddars one of these days.

Since In & Out isn't franchised, they are reluctant to open a store so far inland. However, they have a restaurant in St George and it's only time that one will open up in SLC.

Sure, they don't have freezers, but they can get lettuce, beef, bread, potato from local SLC vendors. It's only a 9 hr drive from LA, if they choose to stay with the same soCal vendors.

However, another aspect of In & Out that is not offered in Cheddars or Five Guys: price. A hamburger @ In N Out cost $1.20 or so, whereas it's going to cost much more in Cheddars and Five Guys.

I contacted IN N OUT burger a few weeks ago... and I asked them if there were plans to build north of St. George. As of right now there are no plans. But he told me that doesnt mean it wont ever happen. He said there have been MANY people contacting IN N OUT about building the Salt lake area........ its one of those things.... ask and ye shall recieve.... ask ask ask ask!!
As for 5 guys... its good. But its not IN N OUT. Chadders is also "GOOD" but again its not IN N OUT. I married a utah boy and I have brought him over to the light of the beauty of IN N OUT. He even knows the lingo..."animal style double double and animal style fries, neopolotan shake". When we went to Cali over thanksgiving... I think we ate there about 4 times! haha! had to stop there in St George one last time.... saw a few teens with BINGHAM HIGH shirts...
