I saw your elf the other day, he did the entire block you live on. I was quite impressed. I wish that I lived on your side.

He was there again last night. The HOA paid snow removal people were there doing in inside of the green court, but there was my elf doing all the side walks and pathways to porches by me. I love this man. I wish I knew exactly where he lived so I could bring him some good holiday goodies!

I got my car stuck in the deep ice and snow encrusted at the entrance to the alley where my garage is ( I am 6 or 7 houses down the road). Who can I call to get it plowed? There is no way my shovel will make a dent Is that a SJ city thing or an HOA? It would be nice to get it reported before we get our Christmas storm.

At time like this, I wish I had an elf too!

The streets are plowed the sidewalks are getting shoveled after the sun goes down... but... is there some rule about putting salt or sand down? Yes, the roads got plowed but nothing else was put down, so that left the roads in eastlake a solid ice sheet! I love ice skating, but not at 6am not awake and trying to get to work! it's just one half-asked task after another... getting a but frustrated, but it could just be the grinch in me. (happy holidays everyone)

At least the condition is much better than Portland.

I was there last week, and unless you have chains, you are not allowed to drive in Portland. They have a foot of snow (or more) on most residential street, on top of a few inches of ice.

There's hardly any snow plow and definitely no salt. The stores ran out of shovels.

Although I return to find over 18" of DRY snow on my driveway, it's still much better than the slushy, WET, heavy, ICY snow that they get. We don't get ice rain either.

Hey, even Hawaii got hit with snow.
