Daybreak Arts Academy OPEN HOUSE, February 12th, 3pm to 6pm Print E-mail
Written by Scoop
Saturday, 12 February 2011 12:30

Daybreak Arts Academy (DAA) is a community art center that offers an exciting alternative to childcare and traditional school for children ages 6 weeks through first grade. In a safe, environmentally friendly, and nurturing environment, our curriculum includes preschool, art, and music instruction from a world-class team of instructors along with many other exciting extracurricular activities. The quality of care and instruction that DAA offers sets a higher standard, one that parents can appreciate. Simply put, our goal is to make parent's jealous that they don't get to stay and play (although you're welcome to drop in for visits anytime)! DAA's beautiful facility is centrally located in the Daybreak community immediately west of Rio Tinto’s new corporate headquarters. We are now offering pre-enrollment.

NEW Non-Denominational Church Grand Opening this weekend in Daybreak Print E-mail
Written by Scoop
Friday, 28 January 2011 10:08

(Disclaimer – I am catholic and my wife is LDS so please do not misunderstand I support all religious groups and will help spread the work for any religious group for any of their activities as long as it pertains to Daybreak or the Daybreak area)

One Community Church, a non-denominational Christian church will hold their Grand Opening services this weekend in the Southwest Salt Lake valley at Early Light Academy, located at 11800 South 5100 West South Jordan, Utah 84095. This casual, contemporary church presents the bible and an experience in a very artistic, culturally relevant way. OCC uses arts like music, print, graphical, video and many other artistic elements in their worship experience. Their slogan is: "No Perfect People Allowed!" They march to this beat, because we all know that none of us can be 100% perfect as we seek out our faith journey, and OCC is a place where we welcome everyone with open arms!

.

OCC offers a variety of programs and times to grow in our faith. Their KidsZone for kids from Birth-5th grades is led by an amazing group of leaders who offer creative kids programming during the service time for children of this age. Screened and background checked, this group of dedicated leaders are ready to make this the best time of your kids week! Lil' KidZone is the age appropriate group for those Birth-5 years old. KidZone promises to be the best time of your kids week! With the same creative elements and a crazy time planned, KidZone wants to teach about Jesus in a way that kids relate to and can have a ton of fun while doing it!

.

OCC is hosting their grand opening and will be meeting every week beginning this Sunday, January 30th at 11:00am. They sent out 45,000 mailers to every house in the SW valley advertising "THE GOD QUESTIONS" series that will kick off the church. Discussing such questions as: "Can we prove that God exists?" "If God exists, how does God communicate with us today?" If there is a loving God, then why is this world so full of crap?" "If there is a God, does God really have a plan and purpose for my life?" The church will also be taking questions on the final week of the series live, via text messaging, the questions that the audience has about God.
