I live in Founder's Park Phase I and we got a ton of kids last year. I went through two big Costco bags and numerous small bags of candy. We did get a lot of kids (and their parents and grandparents) from outside of Daybreak. The grandmother holding a pillowcase full of candy was classic (it was her own bag).

We had a group of teenagers that were dropped off at one end of our street and picked up at the other end. They were being driven in a trailer hooked up to an ATV. I think they were from Kearns (at least most of them were wearing a Kearn's High School T-shirt). We turned away most of them because they weren't wearing a costume. Are we just lame? This year I will turn off my porch light after 9pm because that is when most of the older kids who don't wear costumes come out. For the most part, Halloween at Daybreak is really fun. A lot of residents go all out with decorations and special effects. Lets cross our fingers and hope it doesn't snow.

I agree about crossing our fingers that it doesn't snow. Last year was such great weather for halloween! This year should be interesting since Halloween is on a friday... should create more of a crowd than last year. I really hope that Eastlake gets more kids this year. It sounds like founders has such a great time every year! I love that people from other neighborhoods come here too... I know not everyone does but I think that is what makes it so much fun!

Hey, what are you people thinking??? Didn't you guys get the memo???

This is the kind of wholesome fact finding that the HOA said was suppose to be directed to their office after the demise of the community forum.

Apparently they can answers these questions better directly. Although, I'm not sure how, since NONE of them live in the community.

Remember;
No wholesome, informational community conversations unless it's with the HOA. If a neighbor has an enquiring mind, send him/her to the HOA office and they can take care of those pesky questions.

Last year my street got a decent amount of kids. A few neighors in my green court had some fun. We made doughnuts and hot cider for the trick or treaters and their parents. It was annoying when a group of 20 or so teens came over at 9:30 YELLING... CANDY CANDY!!! Halloween was a blast here last year. My kids were spoiled rotton.. and I was very pleased with the amount of peanut butter cups I had to "rescue" from my allergic son!! bring on the reeses people!
